The group price is the same as in Jaipur; travel, accommodation and meals for the artists are added on top. The exact amount depends on your city, the number of artists and whether the group travels by train or flight, plus the number of nights' stay. Share your city and date and we will send an all-inclusive figure.

Beyond folk groups, we offer musical phere from ₹71,000 to ₹1,00,000, Sufi and Bollywood bands from ₹1,50,000 to ₹2,20,000, baraat welcome groups from ₹30,000 to ₹60,000, haldi and mehendi groups from ₹90,000 to ₹1,50,000, Mayra groups from ₹1,00,000 to ₹1,50,000, Kathak dancers from ₹30,000 per dancer, and a complete wedding package covering all functions at ₹5,51,000. All prices are ex-Jaipur and exclude GST.

Book at least 30 days before your event. Peak wedding dates in November, December, February and March fill up 2 to 3 months ahead, and international events need 6 to 8 weeks for visas. Bookings confirmed 30 or more days in advance qualify for a booking discount.

The price includes the artists, traditional Rajasthani costumes, all folk instruments, a 2-hour performance, and a group manager who coordinates stage timing with your event planner. Sound system, stage and lighting are arranged by the venue or planner. GST at 18%, artist travel, stay and meals outside Jaipur, and overtime beyond 2 hours are charged extra.

Yes. You can choose the number of artists, the mix of singers, instrumentalists and dancers, specific dance styles, and songs for particular moments such as the bride's entry, phere or a corporate welcome. We also design theme-based performances for sangeet nights and destination weddings.

Yes. Malang Music Group performs at corporate conferences, annual days, product launches, award nights, client dinners and off-sites, for clients including IIT Ropar. A Rajasthani folk performance works as a welcome act, a 45-minute cultural showcase or a full evening's entertainment.

For most corporate events a 5 to 8-artist folk singing and instrumental group is the right fit: it works as background music during dinner and as a stage show. Add Kalbelia and Bhavai dancers for a visual showpiece, or book the Sufi and Bollywood band if guests want to dance. For international delegates, the 12-artist music and dance ensemble gives the fullest picture of Rajasthani culture.

Yes. A 30 to 45-minute showcase is common for conferences and award nights, combining two or three songs with Kalbelia, Ghoomar and Bhavai dance pieces. Shorter sets are priced on request.

Yes. We perform regular shows at hotels and heritage resorts in Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur and Jaisalmer, and at tourism and cultural festivals across India. Hotels can book us for one-off guest events or for recurring seasonal evenings.

Yes. A traditional welcome includes shehnai and nagada, or a larger group with dhol, kachhi ghodi dancers, a ravanhatha player and a Kalbelia dancer receiving guests at the entrance with tilak and garlands. Welcome groups range from ₹30,000 to ₹60,000 in Jaipur.

Yes. We issue a GST invoice for every booking. Corporate clients can pay by bank transfer against a proforma invoice, and we can sign a vendor agreement or performance contract if your company requires one.

Yes. We perform across India, including Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Indore, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Siliguri and Guwahati, and at destination wedding venues in Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer and Goa. Travel and accommodation for the artists are added to the quote.

Yes. Malang Music Group has performed in more than 85 countries, including the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia, the UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, South Africa, Australia and the USA. We perform for weddings, Indian community festivals, embassy and cultural events, and corporate shows worldwide.

We need 6 to 8 weeks' notice for visas, and the client covers return flights, visas, local transport, accommodation and meals for the artists and manager. Our artists hold valid passports and have travelled on performance visas to the Gulf, Europe, Australia and the USA. We can supply invitation-letter details and documents for the visa process.

Yes. The Gulf is our most frequent international destination. We perform regularly in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Muscat and Riyadh for Indian weddings, hotel shows and community events. Flights from Jaipur or Delhi, visas and a stay of 2 to 3 nights are arranged by the client.

Yes. We have performed in New York, Washington, London, Sydney and across Germany for Indian community festivals, temple events and diaspora weddings. For these tours we usually combine several events in one trip, which lowers the travel cost for each organiser.

We can travel to any country where a performance visa can be arranged for the artists. Some countries need 8 weeks or more to issue artist visas, so tell us your destination and date as early as possible and we will confirm what is possible.

A Rajasthani folk troupe from Malang Music Group has 3 to 12 artists. The 3-artist trio is a singer with harmonium, khartal and tabla. The 5 and 7-artist groups add sarangi, dholak and chorus singers. The 8, 10 and 12-artist groups add Kalbelia, Bhavai and Ghoomar dancers, up to five dancers with seven musicians in the largest ensemble.

Ghoomar, Kalbelia, Bhavai, Chari, Terah Taali and the fire dance, plus Kathak as a classical option. Ghoomar and Kalbelia are the most requested for weddings; Bhavai and Chari are showpiece acts for receptions and corporate events. See the folk dances page for details of each style.

Kalbelia is a fast, serpentine dance of the Kalbelia snake-charmer community, performed in black embroidered costumes and recognised by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage. Ghoomar is a slower, graceful circling dance traditionally performed by Rajasthani women in flowing ghagras, named for the twirling movement. Kalbelia is high-energy and dramatic; Ghoomar is elegant and ceremonial.

Harmonium, tabla, dholak, sarangi, khartal (wooden clappers), morchang (jaw harp), bhapang (a single-string percussion instrument), algoza (double flute), and for welcome performances shehnai, nagada, dhol and ravanhatha. The lead singer performs with harmonium in the Langa-Manganiyar tradition.

Musical phere is the Hindu wedding ceremony performed with live music: two pandits conduct the Vedic rituals while our musicians play Rajasthani wedding songs timed to each of the seven pheras. Options are ₹71,000 for 5 artists or ₹1,00,000 for 7 artists. See the musical phere page.

Yes. The Sufi and Bollywood band performs Sufi kalam, qawwali-style songs and Bollywood hits with lead vocals by Bundu Khan, in line-ups from 7 to 12 artists with keyboard, guitar, octapad, saxophone, flute and drums. It ranges from ₹1,50,000 to ₹2,20,000.

A Rajasthani folk fusion band blends traditional folk singing and instruments such as khartal, dholak, sarangi and morchang with keyboard, guitar, octapad and drums. Malang Music Group's fusion band performs folk, Bollywood and Sufi songs in one set, suited to sangeet nights, receptions and corporate shows.

Our repertoire is Rajasthani (Marwari), Hindi and Urdu, with some Punjabi and Gujarati wedding songs. For international audiences the performance is largely instrumental and dance-led, so it does not depend on the language of the guests.

Bundu Khan is the founder and lead singer of Malang Music Group. He belongs to the Langa-Manganiyar folk singing tradition of Rajasthan and has performed at Rashtrapati Bhavan and in more than 85 countries. See his artist page.

A stage or clear performance area of at least 15 by 15 feet, a sound system with 4 vocal mics and 4 instrument inputs, basic stage lighting, a green room for costume changes, and access to the venue 2 hours before the performance for sound check. For Bhavai we need a level, non-slippery floor and at least 12 feet of ceiling height.

The venue or event planner usually provides sound, stage and lighting. If needed, we can arrange a sound system in Jaipur at an added cost. We share a technical rider on booking so your sound team can prepare.

A standard set is 2 hours, which can be split into segments such as a welcome performance, a dinner set and a closing act. Shorter 30 to 45-minute showcases are available for corporate events, and longer programmes for multi-function weddings. Overtime is billed pro rata.

Yes. Folk performances work well in lawns, courtyards, heritage venues and desert camps. Outdoors we need a covered stage or shade for the instruments, a level surface for dancers, and a weather back-up plan in the monsoon months.

Yes. Every group comes with a manager who arrives with the artists, handles sound check, timing and costume changes, and stays in touch with your planner or family throughout the event.

Langa and Manganiyar are two hereditary communities of professional folk musicians from western Rajasthan, around Jaisalmer, Barmer and Jodhpur. Their music is passed down within families and is known for powerful singing with harmonium, sarangi, kamaicha and khartal. Bundu Khan and the singers of Malang Music Group perform in this tradition.

Kalbelia folk songs and dances were inscribed on UNESCO's list of intangible cultural heritage in 2010 because they are a living tradition of the Kalbelia community, passed down orally rather than taught in schools, and carry the community's identity as former snake charmers.

Women dancers wear a long flared ghagra, a choli and an odhni, heavily embroidered and mirror-worked, with silver jewellery; Kalbelia dancers wear black costumes with bright embroidery. Male musicians wear a white or coloured kurta, dhoti or churidar and a colourful Rajasthani turban (safa).

Mayra, also called Bhat, is a pre-wedding ceremony in Rajasthani and Marwari families where the bride's or groom's maternal uncle (mama) arrives with gifts for the family. It is celebrated with folk songs that honour the mama and the mother's side of the family.

Malang means a wandering mystic or free spirit in Sufi tradition. The group took the name because its music blends Rajasthani folk with Sufi devotion and because its artists have travelled the world carrying the music of their home.

Malang Music Group is based at 100-A, Main Hastinapur Colony, Karni Palace Road, Vaishali Nagar, Jaipur, Rajasthan 302034, India. Founded in 1995 by Bundu Khan, the group has 25 or more artists and has performed in more than 85 countries.

Yes. Our singers, musicians and dancers are hereditary folk artists who perform full time. Many have performed at national events including Rashtrapati Bhavan and at international festivals, and the group has received 20 or more awards.
